Welcome
Welcome to the Fairmilehead Scout Group (known in Scouting terms as the 114th Braid Scout Group).
Founded back in 1940, we are a vibrant Scout Group on the southern edge of Edinburgh with challenge and adventure at the heart of what we do. We provide Scouting for young people, both boys and girls, from the age of 6 to 14 years old.
Our Group consists of:
- 2 Beaver Colonies (Swanspring and Foxspring)
- 2 Cub Packs (Scaldlaw and Castlelaw)
- Scout Troop
We usually meet on a weekly basis at the Fairmilehead Parish Church Halls, 1A Frogston Road West.

A note about joining......
Our main external intake is at beavers and we operate a waiting list to join. Please fill in your child’s details in the link below and the respective leader will be in touch as soon as they have a vacancy on a first-come, first served basis. The older sections are filled primarily from the younger sections but occasionally have spaces and will take joiners from the same list.
Volunteering ....
All our sections are run by local adult volunteers. The colonies, packs and troop cannot run without them and there are flexible volunteering arrangements available. Should you be interested in joining our friendly adult leadership team or executive committee please get in touch with one of the section leaders or our Group Scout Leader using the contact details below
